About KSEZ

Khairpur Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) spans 140 acres and was established by the Government of Sindh under the ADP scheme. Its PC-I was approved in January 2010, the development scheme was completed in June 2022, and Special Economic Zone status was awarded by the Board of Investment in February 2014 under the SEZ Act, 2012.

Following a Sindh Cabinet decision, SEZMC assumed administrative responsibility for KSEZ in July 2022 and serves as the zone's developer. It supports enterprise development through coordinated management, investor facilitation and access to essential industrial infrastructure.

KSEZ is focused on regional socio-economic growth, productive investment and sustainable employment opportunities. Its progress has earned international recognition as the “Best Global Zone 2025” by Financial Times (fDi), UK.

Key IncentiveExemption from Custom Duty

One-time exemption from custom duties and taxes on import of plant and machinery into SEZ except items listed under Chapter 87 of the Pakistan Customs Tariff, for installation in that zone enterprise subject to verification by the Board of Investment.

Key IncentiveTax Holiday

Exemption from all taxes on income for enterprises commencing commercial production by 30th June 2020, in the SEZs for the next ten years.
